In my previous post, I provided a summary of a few principle transitions suggested by Thom Rainer in his book, “Scrappy Church” that are necessary for a church to remain relevant in reaching the lost and developing disciples in today’s world. Here are a few more for consideration:

    

Over the past year, the Connections Ministry Team has been slowly digesting the book, “Scrappy Church” by Thom Rainer. Throughout the book, the author explains what it takes for a church to make necessary changes to remain relevant and impactful to a world desperately needing to hear the message of Christ’s love.

    

I love this time of year – the twinkling lights, cookie baking, people celebrating, caroling, joyous music, gifts, giggles, and great food. I just attended a great event that had all of that, and it was lots of fun…but I left that event with some feelings of sadness.

    

And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people” (Luke 2:10, emphasis added).
