Don’t Miss the Hand of God (By Pam Scott)

I wonder how many days we go through in life that we don’t notice or realize how God’s hand is weaving us through each event along the way. I was reminded of that again just recently as I was meeting with a dear friend in a restaurant. At the end of the meal, I suddenly did not feel well (glad I got to eat first!). Within a matter of moments, I had totally passed out, which I have never done before in my life – that was a whole new experience.

Anyway, my friend took action immediately, and within moments I was surrounded by a paramedic and two emergency room nurses. Of course, not having my wits about me, all I could think was, “Why are all these medical people working at a restaurant?” Actually, they were just trying to enjoy their meal. But God had placed them all in the same restaurant and seated right around me.

Coincidence? I don’t think so! God knew, and He prepared the way for me to have the immediate assistance that was needed in that situation. To make a long story short, yes, I was taken to the hospital, checked out, and of course will go through some follow-up tests and appointments. I really think all is fine, just a virus, and it may have been the perfect storm that came together to cause my body to react.

The point is, God knew what I needed and had all those people in the right place at the right time for me. He is my strength, my rock, my fortress, my deliverer, my refuge, my shield, my salvation, and my stronghold (Psalm 18:1-2). So as you go through today, don’t miss the hand of God – He’s got this!
