Meet the Children’s Ministry Intern

Hello! My name is Rachel Sullivan, and I look forward to serving you this summer! A lot of you may already know me, as Parma Heights Baptist Church is my home church and I grew up here. It was here that I discovered my passion of working with small children by volunteering with our toddlers during the time I was in high school.

I just graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, with a focus on Health Education, from Cleveland State University. I plan to combine both my passion for serving children and my love of medical science by pursuing a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Development and becoming a child life specialist in a hospital.

Over this summer, I have taken on a three-month position of the year-round Children’s Ministry internship to help develop the program as well as to take advantage of the opportunity to get experience working with and ministering to children. I believe that this will help me to develop important skills that I can use to turn my future career into a unique ministry field.

This summer I hope to help revamp our Children’s Ministry by making it more exciting for our current members, and more inviting and accessible for members of the local community. I look forward to working with you!
