Our Philosophy

Worship | Praising

We believe that worship represents our expression of love and reverence to a living God. Recognizing that the greatest commandment is to love the Lord, our God, with all our heart, soul, mind and strength (Matthew 22:37-38), our purpose is to surrender moment by moment to His majesty and wholly dedicate ourselves to uplifting His name at every opportunity.

We desire to walk in His presence, please Him in all our words or deeds, and lead a lifestyle that reflects the fruit of the Spirit. We gather corporately to glorify our Lord Jesus through prayer, song, testimony, drama, preaching and responding proactively to God’s Word.

Worship services are designed to be meaningful, culturally relevant, and planned so every person will be able to participate in a manner that expresses his or her love and devotion to God.

Ministry | Serving

Every believer is uniquely gifted by God to serve others within the body of Christ, thus fulfilling His purpose in our lives. Indeed, “we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10).

As lay ministers, we are charged to perform “works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up” (Ephesians 4:12) and utilize our spiritual gifts to accomplish God’s work to the best of our ability.

Opportunities to become involved in ministry are highlighted in our ministry guide, which is given to new members. We invite everyone to be a co-laborer in the work that the Lord has set before us!

Fellowship | Connecting

We value the sense of community and desire to cultivate an environment that encourages openness, honesty, acceptance, love and forgiveness within God’s family. Since we all have been adopted into God’s family as the result of our salvation experience, we strongly support a relational partnership with one another that can be achieved through being a part of an ABF or small group Bible study.

We believe that we grow to be more Christ-like when accountability, encouragement, care and love are exercised in a nurturing household of believers. We challenge each other “not to forsake meeting together so we might spur one another on toward love and good deeds” as expressed in Hebrews 10:24-25. Additionally we want all believers to experience the joy of belonging and fulfillment that can only be savored through participation in a group.

Discipleship | Growing

We recognize that we were created to become Christ-like in our character and conduct. To mature in Him is a lifelong process that best takes place in relationship with other believers through Adult Bible Fellowships or small groups.

Growing into a fully developed disciple of Christ assumes a teachable spirit, a working knowledge of God’s Word, a recognition and dedication to daily prayer, and a passionate desire to serve in one’s area of giftedness (I Peter 4:10).

We strongly encourage active participation in accountability groups (men’s and women’s ministry opportunities, small group Bible studies, etc.) that will assist enormously in one’s spiritual walk.

Evangelism | Reaching

We believe that God loves everyone and desires a personal relationship with each one of us; therefore, we feel compelled as the body of Christ to observe the mandate of the Great Commission as cited in Matthew 28:19-20… to bring the gospel message to all we can by any means we can so souls will be saved.

As ministers to a lost world, our role is to proclaim the Good News in a relational manner and let the Holy Spirit convict those with whom we share. We will provide meaningful opportunities to help believers readily learn how to share their faith in a natural setting.
