Dan Barfell came to PHBC in July 2003—just in time for a week of Vacation Bible School—after 16 years of ministry at churches in southern Ohio, Florida, and a Christian school in Indiana. He is a graduate of Cedarville University and received his M.A. in Ministry from Moody Graduate School. Dan and Elena have been married for 23 years and have 3 sons and 1 daughter. This year they will experience a half-empty nest as Andrew and Kaitie will be attending Cedarville University. Eric, 15, will be a junior at North Royalton High School, and John, 12, will be a seventh grader at North Royalton Middle School. Elena is a substitute teacher at our Academy, is involved with our drama ministry, and teaches a first grade Sunday School class, in addition to caring for her family. Dan’s number one ministry goal is to help people find and follow Jesus Christ. He loves to preach and brings messages that are clear, practical and biblical. He is energized by relating with people and his engaging, relational personality is contagious! |
