After being raised in the fruit-belt of southwestern Michigan, Terry attended Cedarville University. While he studied the Bible for his major he met Sandy, who became his major study for the next 50+ years as his wife. They moved to Mansfield, Ohio for Terry to teach Bible in “release time classes” in 5 public elementary schools in Richland County. Sometime in the next 12 years he became an OSU Buckeye fan.
During those years in Mansfield he became the director of Christian Education at Community Bible Church, worked with the teens, trained and directed visitation, and became the music director. In those years they raised their two boys: Shawn, an OSU graduate, who married Raylene St. Clair and has given them four grandchildren. And Dan, now an Army major, is a graduate of Cedarville University. He married a Canadian whom he met in Korea while on a tour of duty.
After Terry served at Community Bible Church for 32 years they moved to Parma, Ohio to pastor a small Baptist church. After leaving that church he came on staff at Parma Heights Baptist Church in 2000. He is presently serving as the pastor to senior adults. Their mission is "to help senior adults find and follow Christ to a faithful finish."
