VBS 2017 Report (By Pam Scott)

God was at work in so many ways this summer at Galactic Starveyors Vacation Bible School. Thank you to everyone who gave and gave and gave of yourself to carry out God’s ministry.

Parents shared how their kids’ lives were changed and impacted in various ways during VBS week. Some kids went home in tears, as they didn’t want to leave. A single mom shared how VBS changed her daughter’s life.

Our workers were impacted, as well. Some want to continue serving every week, and others already signed up to serve in VBS next year. I love to see this enthusiasm as our workers realize that they were used by God to impact lives.
  • Bakers again supplied the 8,000 cookies needed, and many of you worked behind the scenes to make preparations for the week.
  • Each day there were over 175 WORKERS who faithfully showed God’s love to children.
  • Over 800 STUDENTS were registered for the week and heard about and experienced the love of Jesus. 85% were from the community.
  • GOD WORKED THROUGH THE CHILDREN TO PROVIDE $2,532 to purchase shoes and umbrellas for the kids at Chain of Love orphanage in Brazil.
  • We continue to pray that God will draw many of these kids to Himself because of what they heard and experienced at a great week of VBS. Some parents have already expressed an interest in joining us on Wednesday nights in the fall.
  • We had a fantastic Follow-Up Picnic for children who made decisions for Christ this summer or who wanted to know more about a relationship with Jesus. 4 CHILDREN accepted Christ at this picnic, and we had great interaction with the parents during our goop sundae time.

Praise God for His faithfulness in another exciting outreach, and we are truly thankful for each of you who partnered with God during Vacation Bible School to impact lives for eternity.
