Imagine being placed in a neighborhood where you have a great opportunity to make a lasting impact. If we really took the time to connect with our neighbors, get involved in their lives and show that we care, just think how God could use those moments to show Himself, as we become His hands and feet.

    

Today marks eighteen years since our nation experienced the tragedies that took place on 9/11. Our country was forever changed on that fateful day in which almost 3,000 people were killed through those acts of terrorism. Yesterday on social media, there was a reminder going around that on this date eighteen years ago (September 10), 3,000 people had no idea that they were spending the last night of their lives with their family and friends.

 

• An out of control child started behaving and obeying, just like that!
• 4^th, 5^th and 6^th grade areas had their highest number of kids attending ever (that was the group we were starting to see diminish over the years).
  

It was on my mind all summer. Well, maybe not all summer, but definitely the last month or so. I remember the excitement of going back for my sophomore year of college and the angst of knowing that I’d hurt my best friend.
